As a Credit Manager, you will be responsible for assessing and managing credit risk, as well as ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the credit department.   • Evaluate and approve credit applications based on credit policy guidelines.
  • Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant information to determine creditworthiness.
  • Establish credit limits and terms for new and existing customers.
  • Monitor credit agreements to ensure compliance and manage any necessary modifications.
  • Review and investigate credit discrepancies and resolve customer disputes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, sales teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and refining credit policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of credit approvals, denials, and other related information.
  • Monitor and manage the collection of overdue payments.
  • Identify and assess potential risks and propose appropriate risk mitigation strategies.

To be considered for the role of Credit Manager, you must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a Credit Manager or similar role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in credit analysis and risk assessment.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis.
  • Experience with credit management software and systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and financial modeling.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
  • High level of integrity and ethical behavior.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.

A minimum qualification of a Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required for the role of Credit Manager. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree, provided the individual possesses the necessary skills and expertise in credit management. Additional courses or certifications in credit risk assessment or a related field are advantageous.
